"A watched pot never boils," "don't look a gift horse in the mouth" and "a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush" are just a couple of old adages that I have heard before. Of course, I don't think I really understand what "don't look a gift horse in the mouth" means. Well I have always wondered who thought up these catchy phrases, but not anymore. They must have been invented, so to speak, by ordinary geniuses like my husband. So here is my husband's new adage, "When I nappy, I am happy." And how true it is. Baby R has been a little cranky the last few days, and I am pretty sure that teeth are to blame. This afternoon she took an extra long nap, and she woke up incredibly happy! It was as if her gums were no longer sore. It is amazing how a little nap can make anyone happy!
So pass it on...
"When I nappy, I am happy"

Rick is such a poet...
not only does she wake up happy - she looks so perfect sleeping - where are her katie genes - with the eyes half open along with her mouth???
and yes, we should now go to rick for rhymes
so true. so true. Sleep always cures the crabbies.
Gotta love teething!
I am visiting my family this week and my dad is a dentist. I asked him, "How many teeth come in?" "Twenty," he said. Yikes! One tooth has turned my babe pretty darn fussy.
Katie you may have tried this with Reagan but I used Hyland teething tablets with my kids. They're homeopathic and they work! Good luck with the teething phase!
