watching them grow

Our kids are getting so big!

These are three of Reagan's best friends - Skyler (18 days younger than Reagan) and Hayden and Mason (4 1/2 months younger). We are lucky to be able to get together with them every other month or so. We wish we could see them more frequently, they grow up way too much between visits!

mr. potato head?

Yep, that's him! Reagan loves putting him together, and he always looks crazy!

favorites

These are a few of my favorite pictures from last week...

Reagan likes to push her face up to the gate and say "may-ment." That is her version of basement. It isn't finished, but apparently she thinks it is tons of fun to run around down there!

Standing on her head to play peek-a-boo!

She was a little giddy when church was canceled and we let her stay in her sunday clothes!

the teacher

Reagan decided it was time to teach her baby doll how to sing "If you're happy and you know it." This included clapping the baby's hands and slamming her feet on the floor.

good news

Well I had my third trimester ultrasound today to check for two things:
  1. To check the location of my placenta because I was borderline placenta previa at my second trimester ultrasound. Luckily it has moved and I can deliver Kennedy naturally!
  2. To see if there was any sign of a twisted bowel, like Reagan had. There wasn't! This doesn't mean Kennedy won't have CF, but at least she shouldn't need surgery after birth!

Now I am just hoping Kennedy decides to come out face down so I won't have to push for three hours!

snow fun

Thursday was fairly warm, so we took a trip outside to play in the snow. Rick made a little bunny hill for Reagan to sled down, so I pulled her around while he shoveled the driveway. Reagan loved watching daddy throw snowballs, stepping on slush, trying to clap with her snowsuit on, and taking a nice long walk through the subdivision. When her cheeks were a nice rosey shade we decided it was time to go inside - she was not pleased with our decision. She is definitely an outdoorsy girl! Hope we have an early spring!

uno, dos, tres

It is getting a little hard for me to come up with things to teach Reagan. She is kinda like Charlie in Heroes, who "developed the ability to quickly memorize and recall any information with great accuracy in a seemingly unlimited volume." She picks things up in a flash, and is constantly itching for more knowledge. I know this is a good thing, but Rick jokes that we will have taught her everything we know by the time she is two. That may not be far from the truth. This video is of her counting to ten in spanish. It only took her a little over a day to learn this! She also recognizes numbers, and can tell you what they are. Lastly, she started having imaginary conversations with Austin on her phone. They go like this, "Hi! How are you? I'm fine. Bye bye. See you in awhile!"

making progress

As you can see by the pictures, Reagan no longer hates babies! She still isn't super gentle (she picks her up by the head), but we're getting closer. She enjoys pushing her baby around the house and running her into the wall and saying "boom." We'll have to correct that eventually, but at least she doesn't throw her anymore!

she's here!

Kalli Beth Stump arrived at 5:41 pm, yesterday, February 1st! Molly did wonderfully and only had to push 4 times! Kalli was 6 lb 13 oz and 20 1/2" long! Here are a few pictures of the beautiful baby girl!

Molly is in labor, so stay tuned for more details...

redecorating

Rick and I decided to paint our living room about a week ago, and amazingly enough we were able to finish it in one day! Since it would be next to impossible for us to paint the whole thing (without scaffolding for the high walls and ceiling) we decided to only paint the bottom half. We will hopefully put up some trim within the next month or so, but in the meantime I think it looks pretty good. Rick picked the color and I think he did a great job! Here are some before and after pictures...

What do you think? Should I let Rick be the interior decorator for the rest of the rooms?
