the tears flow every time I think of her

Aunt Susie was the best Aunt anyone could ever ask for. Seriously. The best. There may be others who will come close to her level of wonderfulness, but none will surpass. It simply is not possible. Susie (and Jack) never missed any special occasion, and even showed up early everytime to help set-up. Here they are at Rick's Graduation.

Their home was a home away from home for all of us. They loved having us there and we loved being there. Our kids genuinely loved playing with Aunt Susie and would ask when we could go play with her again. She would get right down on the floor with the kids to play, or would dig in the dirt and get filthy with them. She would blow trillions of bubbles for the kids, just because she loved making them happy. She would remember all the events in our lives and ask about them. She cared about all of us, and always showed it. She and Uncle Jack were the ones who stayed with Reagan when Kennedy was born. We could always count on them for everything, and I learned so much from her.

Aunt Susie was the best. I love her and miss her. I will always remember the wonderful times I spent with her swimming, talking, making applesauce, working in the garden, talking, opening the pool, eating at Red Lobster, playing with the kids, and talking. She was so much fun to be around and she was always happy. I look forward to the day when I will see her smiling face again. You will always be a part of us Aunt Susie. We love you so very much.

That was beautiful. Not sure who gave the eulogy at the funeral, but I think you would have done a really good job! I only met your Aunt Susie a couple of times, but I thought she was great too. I miss her for you.

What a beautiful tribute! Just from the few short years I knew your aunt I grew to love and appreciate all that she means to you and your family. I ways felt like part of her family too when I was around her. I know that her love and joy for life will live on in you.
