daddy-daughter date

Rick took Reagan on her first daddy-daughter date last night. They went to the library and had a picnic on the lawn with other daddies and their daughters. She talked about it all day, and couldn't wait to leave me and Kennedy. When she got home she ran into the house yelling, "Mommy I had soooo much fun!" Meanwhile Kennedy and I got some Mommy-Daughter bonding time (as if she needed to be anymore bonded/glued to me...) We all really enjoyed it, and decided we will make it a weekly ritual hopefully, but we will switch children each time.

Another update: I was very annoyed at always having to find Kennedy's binky, so I decided tuesday morning that she was done. She was a little unhappy with my decision for the first few hours (she used it allllll the time). But she only cried for about 5 minutes at nap time before falling asleep. Now she sometimes whimpers for a minute or two when I lay her down, but then she is out! Yippee!! I hated always having to keep track of binkys everywhere we went. So she has officially been without it for 60 hours exactly!

Okay, that might be just the push I needed. I think I'm going to get rid of D's bink. It seems it would be easier now than later. Way to go!

Kates, Austy and Kennedy were adorable yesterday. They built a momentary bond that none of us could enter
