We took the girls putt-putt golfing for Kennedy's birthday. It was quite funny. The girls had tons of fun and keep asking when we can go again. I filmed a little of it, so enjoy!

On Sunday when Reagan was done with her class, she came running up to Kennedy to show her the "mail" she got in class. She then threw her arms around Kennedy and exclaimed, "I missed you Kennedy!" Kennedy then wrapped her little arms around Reagan and hugged her back. We are so blessed to have such wonderful little girls who are absolutely the best of friends. They do almost everything together and never like being apart. Since I don't know whether we will have any more kids, it makes me just so happy that they have each other.

I'm not sure if there is anything cuter than a little bum in little undies! She gets soooo excited to pick out her new undies every morning (we still do pull-ups at night). And the cutest thing she says, "Mommy, I tooted in my undies. I don't tinkle or poopie or sog-sogs in my undies. But I tooted." In case you are wondering, "sog-sogs" is what we would call her diaper if it was super wet. I keep telling her tinkle and sog-sogs are the same thing, but she still says both. Oh-well, at least she does "both" of them in the potty! :)

Kennedy's Carnival

Kennedy's 2nd Birthday party was a blast, even with the rain in the morning. We took precautions and my AWESOME friend Cindy came and helped me completely empty the toy room to turn it into a carnival. Kennedy was sooooo excited for her carnival (and so was Reagan). And then my Mom's camera broke and she didn't know it. So I didn't take any pictures either... :( Luckily my Aunt took some from her blowing out her candles, so I will have to get those from her. Whew... It was fun but I am glad it's done.

where did it go?

I can't believe April is almost over! And I haven't had time to post about anything! We have been so extremely busy that I feel like I barely have time to check out the deals each week for couponing, let alone anything else on the computer. Plus Kennedy's 2nd birthday party is on Saturday, so I am getting everything ready for that. Here are some quick shots of some of the things that have kept us so busy...

We spent one evening planting our seeds. Reagan loved picking out the seeds at the store. She loves to garden.

We started making a pinata for easter. A new tradition which the girls loved. Too bad I don't have pictures of them breaking it with Austin and Kalli, I was videotaping it.

Our best friends from church in Williamston came to visit. The Wakefields live in Washington now, so we were so excited that we got to spend time with them.

Laura and Rick's birthdays were the 15th and 16th, so we had presents to make and buy. Laura is cracking up at Rick's hilarious card.

We dug the grass out from under the play structure so the girls could have a sandbox now that our garden is planted.

Dennis asked me to help him throw a surprise party for Laura. We did a 50s drive-in/soda shoppe theme. These are the mugs I made as souveniers for all the guests to take home after we had Root Beer floats.

I spent two days making these skirts for Becky and I. (Think drive-in waitresses, minus the rollerskates).

Whew. That was exhausting just loading the pictures. Then add to those planting a tree in our backyard, going the library 2+ times a week (Reagan is obsessed), going to the ice cream shoppe, aerating our lawn, visiting with Uncle Jack, celebrating Rick's birthday with my family, and planning a bridal shower for Mel. Double whew. I'll hopefully be back next week with pictures from Kennedy's birthday. Fingers crossed. Hope you have been enjoying Spring as much as us!

Dancing with the Stars

So sometime in the fall I was called as the Girls Camp Director at church. The one thing they told me was that I needed to some up with a good fundraiser. Well I didn't exactly "come up with" a good fundraiser, but I did find a good one to copy. My sister's ward has had a "Dancing with the Stars" fundraiser for three years now and they love it. So I decided we would give it a try. Little did I know that my youth were not excited to try new things. I also had NO IDEA how time consuming it would be. During the three days leading up to the activity I think I spent roughly 18-20 hours getting everything set-up and ready for the activity. Plus I had at least one nightmare a week for the four weeks we rehearsed. It was very stressful. But the end result was more than I could have hoped for. We set up seating for 150 people, thinking it was good to overestimate. Yeah, well we didn't have enough seating. We easily had 175+ people show up for the event. Luckily we did have enough food for the dinner. The young men and the young women did amazing and really stepped it up the last week of rehearsal. We ended up making $700 or more on the cake auction! And tons of people told me it was the best activity they had ever been to, AND they want me to make it an annual event. I think we can definitely call it a success!
