family pictures

All of Rick's family made it back to Michigan for a little reunion. It was the first time we had all been together since December 2005. It was a lot of fun to see everyone and be able to spend more than a day visiting. I will post more pictures from it soon, but right now I have to go tend to a crying baby. (She finally cut her first tooth yesterday, and #2 is on its way...)

9 months!
At 9 months, here are a few facts about Kennedy:
- She has zero teeth.
- She has been crawling for 1 month and 1 day.
- She consistently says "dada."
- She loves bath time and tries to splash all of the water out of the tub, while also drinking it.
- She tries to play with Reagan all the time, which prompts Reagan to frequently say, "No Kennedy! Don't play with the (fill in the blank)."
- No one makes her laugh as hard as Reagan.
- She loves all of her Grandparents.
- She sleeps a fairly consistent 11-12 hour night.
- Ever since she could roll over, she prefers to sleep on her face. She eventually rolls her head to the side, but wants to be on her face while falling asleep.
- She is outrageously long, over the 95th percentile.
- She loves to cuddle, and always puts her head on my shoulder when she is being shy.
- She is absolutely adorable and lovable and the best little sister!

she cracks me up
Me: "Reagan, what do you want for lunch?"
Reagan: "Bread."
Me: "What kind of bread?"
Reagan: "Tote bread."
Me: "Tote bread?"
Reagan: "Yes, tote bread."
Me: "What is tote bread?"
Reagan: "It sounds like food."

a bit strange
Here is a little clip of Reagan singing the United States song. She really gets into strange things, I know. I am not sure if that is because she is strange or because she has a strange mother. Who knows. But I'm pretty sure Planets, Dem Bones and the United States are not exactly normal interests for a two year old.
I'm still waiting for the girly stage to hit her. You know, dressing up, playing princesses... I'm actually not sure what normal girls really play. I think I was meant to be a boy or something. She does at least enjoy playing with her little dolls in her dollhouse. But again, not normal. These are what her dolls look like... (Grandma likes to get her "fun" ones).
I love my little girls, even though some days they drive me crazy. (Today was one of them.) 1:00 church is not ideal for my little gals. Oh well. After we came home and they napped, they were much sweeter.
Oh, and for those of you who haven't been to our place in a while, we added a few details to the toy room. I try to make it fun for the girls since we rarely ever leave the house in the winter. I added these Ikea pictures and dollar store alphabet border sometime around Reagan's birthday.
I hung up the planets rings from the Tuckers. Reagan has an obsession with planets, which she has passed on to Kennedy. Those are the first thing Kennedy looks for EVERY time we go in the toy room. I also made curtains for the windows. Apparently having extra long windows makes buying shades super expensive. I opted for the $1.50 fabric at Walmart. I think they match perfectly.
Oh yeah, and we have decided to finally take our blog private. A few too many weird anonymous comments... Sorry for the inconvenience. If I don't have your email address already, please give it to me so I can send you an invite. Thanks!
