Could she be any more animated? So what if this isn't the most conventional way to read, it works for her! And by the way, she put the book there, not me. She couldn't figure out how to get it off, that might be what she thinks is so funny. Her expressions are endless, Papa R and I spend many hours laughing at her actions. What a riot!

Can you do this?

The Longest Night
Waking up every half hour isn't fun, no matter how cute your baby is. We decided to finally make the transition from bassinet to crib, and first started it friday night. We were prepared for the worst, and then Baby R only woke up twice in a 7-hour stretch. We thought that was pretty good for her first time sleeping in the crib. So, as foolish parents, we went to bed last night expecting the same great performance... Not only did she wake up a few more times, she also pooped twice in her sleep (waking her up twice more). As we hauled ourselves out of bed for the last time this morning, Papa R asked, "So how long did she sleep total?" Then as he started to add, he said, "Nevermind, that would require too much math to figure it out."
Most of the time when Baby R woke up I would turn on her little musical fish aquarium and she would fall back to sleep. The tiring part was getting up every time she woke up to push the little button that turned it back on. Someone should make one that has a motion detector, then it would turn on by itself when she started to wake up.
Putting those things aside, at least she has now slept in her crib for two nights! I guess that is what we get for letting her sleep in a nice massaging bassinet for so long!

Mush, Mush
We started Baby R on solids last week. She hated the rice cereal, so this week we started her on fruits and veggies. Carrots were a hit, she loved them. She didn't like the bananas today quite as much, but they were still better than the cereal. I think it tastes more like glue than any cereal I've ever tried. She is sleeping wonderfully at night, thank goodness! This picture shows how happy she is with her bathtime - she couldn't be cuter!
Fan Club
After many suggestions, I have finally decided to start a blog. Now I can keep everyone updated on the life of Baby R. I may even include an occasional update of her much less exciting parents. Feel free to check back often.
